• Beth Israel Medical Center: One of New York’s major hospitals, it employs 12,000 people and has three major divisions located throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn.
• Columbia University Medical Center: Located in northern Manhattan, it employs roughly 8,000 people and is a leader in medical education, research, and patient care.
• Long Island Jewish Medical Center: In New Hyde Park, the LIJ medical center consists of Long Island Jewish Hospital, Zucker Hillside Hospital, and Schneider Children’s Hospital. It employs roughly 7,500 healthcare workers.
• Albany Medical Hearing Center: Located in Albany, this facility employs nearly 7,000 healthcare workers.
• New York Presbyterian Hospital: Affiliated with Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and Weill Medical College of Cornell University, this hospital was ranked 6th in the nation by U.S. News and World Report in 2008. It employs roughly 7,000 people.
